Access to healthcare can be challenging when transportation, cost, or limited access to providers becomes a barrier. UToledo Health is helping address these challenges by bringing essential healthcare services directly to communities throughout northwest Ohio.

We’re proud to have built the custom mobile health unit that is helping UToledo bring care closer to home for people throughout the region we know so well.
Bringing Care Directly to the Community
Since launching in 2024, the UToledo Mobile Health Unit has partnered with local libraries, YMCAs, churches, community organizations, and other partners to bring healthcare resources closer to the people who need them.
The unit provides free preventive health screenings, health education, social services, and referrals to specialized care. Services have also expanded to include primary care, helping connect more community members with essential medical services.
By bringing care to familiar community locations, the program helps reduce barriers such as transportation and cost while creating opportunities for people to take a more proactive approach to their health.
A Custom Mobile Clinic With a Local Impact
The 37-foot custom-built mobile clinic features two exam rooms, a restroom, and a small waiting area, providing dedicated space for healthcare services in a mobile setting.
For us, seeing this vehicle out in the community is a reminder that what we build can have an impact far beyond the vehicle itself. It represents an opportunity to help a local organization reach more people, strengthen community partnerships, and connect residents with important healthcare resources.
